Just a Blink, I'm Still Hybernating.
If it wasn't for school, this website would have been a beauty of this town's music scene. I planned on covering any and everything that is considered music from alternative rock, country, punk rock, hardcore metal, reggae, blues, techno/hip-hop, or whatnot. I have tons of ideas written down on a piece of paper, which is now stained from all the coffee spilt or Dr. Pepper and crumbs from all the cookies I've had for the past month. No, they are not the popular Oreo Cookies or Chips Ahoy! Keep in mind, I'm broke and still am a bit. It's an immaculate piece of paper that's been sitting right next to my computer.
A good friend of mine, Heath Dobbler, who now finally has a kickass band called The IN-Denials, has been embitter with the fact that I have not been updating the site. So, while I was watching them practice about a week ago, he had mention that I should write "something." I told him that the only thing I would be able to talk about on this very page is my struggle to survive in college and the fact that I have been eating top ramen and them wonderful 8-piece burrito pack from Food Maxx. Financially, I was down to a 'negativo' balance. Two months of being a brokeback dude isn't very nice. Yes, I was called a "brokeback" by close friends during my financial struggle. I can't even afford a Bud Light at a bar. How fucked up is that.
Then, many of you might think that I just decided to "hybernate" for some reason. Not really, I'll make it simple. I have no fucking money to spend to go around and about. Oh, and the fact that I'm putting some effort on promoting, or whatchumacallit, my band The 28's and other close friends' bands, such as The IN-Denials, Box Jumper, and The Filthies, in some way or another. Don't get me wrong though, I am willing to promote the Bakersfield Music Scene. It's just not doable as of the moment. I'll do what I can.
So much more to talk about, I can basically write 100,000 words for today and that still won't be enough. Fortunately, people read blogs and it's entertaining but I apologize because I must keep my vow to my traditional hybernation.

Yes, many of you are pissed and disappointed with the site's progress. Some assumed that when I was with them that they're gonna make it on BUMS. Not always the case. But what's a punk to do?
